Perpetrators do not necessarily have to live with the sexually abused child or children or be married to a parent. They also do not have to be biologically related to the victims. Financially contributing spouses, ex-spouses, roommates, family members, or friends can all be perpetrators.

Our Aid Application Process
CAC Advocate Contacts SACRED
SACRED only considers applications submitted by an accredited Child Advocacy Center (CAC) on behalf of a family in need. We do not accept applications directly from individuals. Once a referral is received, our executive director will connect by phone to discuss the family’s financial needs. We then review the referral against our criteria to ensure appropriate support is provided.
Application Review and Approval
Once your application is complete, our executive director makes the final review before forwarding it to SACRED’s board of directors. Within 8 hours, you receive a response, including either further questions, approval, or rejection.
SACRED and CAC Generate Financial Aid
With the board’s approval, we send funds to your CAC, which then disburses the funds and accounts for the grant’s distribution. Afterward, your organization provides proof of payment to SACRED (not the family directly) within 30 days of receipt.
What You Can Use CAC Funds For
Advocates ensure affected families are not only physically safe, but also feel safe after experiencing sexual abuse. Our mission at SACRED is to support your organization in your aid efforts.

Applications & Information
SACRED should be one of your first calls after receiving a child sexual abuse report if the perpetrator was a financial provider for the family. We can help you take your next steps toward financial aid to care for your child or children during this major transition.
